This is Margie's mother and father, Mina and Art (Eberhardt) Ward. It is taken in front of their house.
This is Grandpa Ward with their dog, Curly. He is the one they fed some rather strong homemade cheese. The dog curled his lip and acted embarrassed that he was turning down a meal.
This is Grandma Ward in front of the house, looking north toward the barn.
I (Scott) never remember seeing Grandma Ward in anything but a dress. She never wore pants, rather always a dress, even when working in the garden. This picture was taken in front of the house. Notice the vintage car in the background.
This is the view of the neighborhood showing the hill to the west.
This is the view of the front yard from the front step.
This shows the picture of Baby Mary, Margie's older sister who died at about the age of two. No funeral was allowed because of the sickness she had.
Grandma never quite got over losing Baby Mary. Some said Margie was sent to replace her. Grandma insisted Margie was not sent to replace anyone.
This is Welton standing above Verl. Verl was Margie's older brother who also died not long after this picture. Grandma Ward often walked alone to the cemetery to visit the graves of these little ones.
Here is a more modern look at the house many years later. We used to play in the leaves and make trails for "Fox and Geese." We had an 8mm movie Dad made of Grandpa Ward giving us wheelbarrow rides around the lawn. We lost that film in the Teton Flood.
This is Margie with her younger brother, Smith. Margie is about 8 or 9 years old.
This is Margie in her dance costume at about age 10. She was dressed as "Sunshine."
